Blanton Place Townhouse Development

We were asked by the developer to design nine modern townhouses on the site in a residential area in Pretoria. The brief was for modern units with spacious rooms and a generous outside entertainment area. The units must also be energy efficient.

Timber screens and a timber pergola are used for sun control and to soften the stark grey exteriors. The main entrance to the house is angled to define it, provide a degree of privacy and as sun control. The first floor cantilever over the entrance to provide shelter from the rain.
