THE PROJECT: COMAIR CABIN CREW TRAINING FACILITY

When Comair decided to use a decommissioned Boeing 737 as training facility for their cabin crew, WMS Architects were asked to design a building around it. The space had to accommodate the plane fuselage, male & female toilets, two lecture rooms and a small simulator room.

Due to the client’s limited budget we decided to use a cladded light weight steel construction with a Marmoran finish to match the other buildings on the site. Glass facades on the northern and eastern side provide sufficient natural light and views to the inside.
